DGAQA INITIATIVE TO OUTREACH MSMEs / VENDOR FOR PROMOTING INDIGENOUS ACTIVITIES IN MILITARY AVIATION ECOSYSTEM
DGAQA is committed to ensure Quality Assurance(QA) in military aviation and taking appropriate measures to handhold / ease of doing business to MSMEs in indigenization of Defence manufacturing in alignment with the Government of India’s strategic vision of Atmnirbhar Bharat and not just “Made in India” but “Owned by India” initiative. As we are shifting focus from Transfer of Technology (ToT) - which often results in dependency on legacy systems to Co-development and Intellectual property (IP) ownership, accordingly, DGAQA have established Dedicated Indigenization facilitation Group (IFG) at various Field Establishment to institutionalize co-ordinated efforts towards Import Substitution, vendor development and indigenous capability enhancement within the aerospace and armament quality assurance ecosystem.
The Objective of IFG is to ensure smooth compliance of Quality Assurance requirements, promote industry participation, hand holding MSMEs. It also provides a focused institutional mechanism within DGAQA for accelerating indigenization initiatives.
Industries facing challenges at any stage of indigenization may contact IFGs established by DGAQA for handholding in respective fields of indigenization.
