ABOUT US

The office of the Regional Director Aeronautical Quality Assurance (ORDAQA), Kolkata was established in 1950s [known as IAF(AIS) Liaison Staff and then Technical Liaison Office (TLO)] and attached with OFB Kolkata and later made as a self-accounting unit in June 1973. This office is situated in the Ordnance Factory Board premises at 6, Esplanade East, Kolkata-700069 since its inception.

Role & Functions

This establishment conductsQA of different aviation stores manufactured and supplied by the trade firms in and around Kolkata as well as in the eastern parts of India.It also conducts liaison work on technical matters with Ordnance Factory Board (OFB),National Test House (NTH), Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)situated in Kolkata with regard to the production/ QA of different aviation stores as per the supply order placed by the IAF, Army, Navy, Coast Guard and BSF on behalf of HQ, DGAQA. Being an independent field establishment, there is a need to interact with various other agencies such as AAO Kolkata, CDA Patna,Form Stores, ASC Supply Depots, etc. on a daily basis on activities related to administration of this office.

Projects are undertaken by this establishment as and when assigned by HQ, DGAQA,New Delhi.
